Get your Cosplay on!

Supanova, Brisbane 2015 was the first time I'd dressed up for a comic convention. It was one of the most liberating and enjoyable experiences. I had most of the costume for The Avengers: Age of Ultron's Scarlet Witch in my wardrobe - so I made a few extra pieces and wallah!

There are polarising views when it comes to 'geeking out'. Those that cannot relate or have not been subjected to the addictive nature of film, comic books, anime, or video games are happy to voice how 'uncool' dressing in cosplay is. Those who live and breathe this world find it 'SUPER cool' the more hardcore you dress like a character.

I really respect the supportive nature at comic conventions - it's even a part of the code!

"Thou shalt not bring others down"...

or something like that.

Be proud of what makes you different, and what you enjoy. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals and you will thrive!
